Once a category 5 hurricane, Erin was declared downgraded to category 2 on 19th Aug 2025 , presently the hurricane is passing through Atlantic Ocean.
The speed of wind is approx. 175 Km/hr
From the storm eye the tropical storm extends to approx. 426 Km
Forecasts indicate waves from approx. 16 meters to 30 meters
The hurricane can have below impact
Impact location – US East Coast ports, Atlantic Sea route

Port of New York
Port of New Jersey
Port of Savannah
Port of Virginia (Norfolk)
Port of Charleston
Port of Baltimore
Port of Miami
Port of Philadelphia
The shipping route may be disrupted for next 3 days.
North Carolina governor Josh Stein declared a state of emergency on 19th Aug 2025
Even without a direct landfall the hurricane can imports ports from Florida to Canada and till UK.
