Marie Maersk update-2, the fire is under control but not completely extinguished

Update 2 – present status – After fire on 13th Aug, the crew on the vessel was able to control the fire from spreading further but could completely extinguish it, since 19th Aug, external firefighter crew has joined the Marie Maersk crew and they are jointly working to stop the fire.

The complete process to stop the fire on board might take some time.

The service of Gemini co-operation has been disrupted as one of the vessels is at hold. Also till now  Maersk has not yet decided for scheduling the disrupted containers.

Present location of the vessel – Vessel is still in water near Liberia.
