One Captain dead in a fire on two ships at Sinbuk Port, Korea

Incidence - Recently on 16th Sept 2025, early morning around 1 am a cargo ship and an oil tanker got engulfed in fire.

Impact - Captain of one vessel was dead and 2 crew members got injured.

Crew members – 14 on tanker and 4 on cargo ship ( All the 18 crew members were rescued including the captain was earlier unconscious but was declared dead later and 2 injured)

With the actions from coast guard the fire was extinguished around 8 am, 16th Sept 2025. The reason of fire is yet to announced and the concerned team is working on it.

Reason of fire – its not yet known and the port team is working on it. Also the name of vessel has not yet been announced publicly by port team. The tanker carried chemical.
