Fire broke on Marie Maersk Near Liberia

Recently on 13th Aug 2025, while Marie Maersk was enroute from Rotterdam to Tanjung Pelepas and was moving near West Africa smoke was detected on board coming from few containers. The crew took immediate action and situation was taken under control. To assess the situation and check the containers the vessel was taken to port. in Liberia. Marie Maersk is one of the largest vessels of Maersk and is fourth vessel of the EEE class.
