Civilian Bulk Carrier NS Pride was attacked Near Ukrainian Port of Chornomorsk

Incidence – Recently on 31st August 2025, late evening there was an explosion on vessel NS Pride sailing in Odesa region of Ukraine near the Chornomorsk Port. The vessel was entering the port to load food-grain, Its speculated that the vessel was attacked by drones.

There were no injuries reported to the crew members

Present status – The vessel is still in black sea near Sulina Port, Romania.

  •        Routing - The vessel was moving from Zonguldak port, Turkey to Sulina Port, Romania


Impact – There was no severe impact and after a small halt the vessel was back on its journey

Impact on global supply Chain

This attack has again raised a concern for insurance agents, maritime industry, global grain buyers as Ukraine was one of the major exporters for many food products before the Russia-Ukraine war started and the war is costing a loss to global economy.
