MSC raises India Europe Ocean freight rates for second half of June

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has announced revised Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates for cargo moving from India to Europe, effective from 15 June 2026 until further notice, but not beyond 30 June 2026. The revised tariff covers shipments from Nhava Sheva, Ennore and Kolkata Port to the European ports of Antwerp and Valencia. The information below is based on the official MSC customer advisory. (MSC)

According to the advisory, freight rates for both 20' Dry Van (DV) and 40' Dry Van/High Cube (HC) containers have been aligned at the same level across all listed origin-destination pairs.

The revised schedule places Kolkata as the highest-priced Indian origin for both Antwerp and Valencia services, while Nhava Sheva and Port Qasim remain the lowest-priced load ports under the new FAK structure. Valencia-bound cargo attracts a USD 100 per container premium compared with Antwerp across all listed origins. (MSC)

The rates apply to Freight All Kinds (FAK) cargo and are quoted in US dollars. As stated in MSC's customer advisory, the revised pricing becomes effective from 15 June 2026 and remains valid until further notice, but not beyond 30 June 2026. Exporters and freight forwarders should continue to verify any applicable surcharges and local charges separately, as these may be levied in addition to the published FAK rates. (MSC)
