Insurance cancellation –
Many shipping insurance companies are said to pull back the vessel insurance from 5th of March 2026 for this route.
Update on cargo routed to and fro Gulf -
Many shipping lines have issued advisories to discharge the cargo at nearby safe ports rather than engaging there vessels, which is both dangerous and cost absorbing.
Containers can be accommodated at ports for even few months, in case the war continues.
This will lead to congestion of containers at transshipment ports and once the war comes to and end it would take months to regain a smooth maritime supply chain for this route .
