The unionised employees of Amazon have declared strike on 19th December siting issues of low wages and tough working conditions. Presently they have stopped working on 7 locations in USA which includes Illinois, Atlanta, New York City, Skokie, San Francisco, Southern California.
The union employees have put up many posters at Amazon’s different warehouses and fulfilment centre so that other employees can join the strike.

- There are 5000+ employees of the Union.
- They have given time till 22nd Dec to start the negotiation.
- Its seems that the operations can get hampered and the packets delivery during Christmas might be delayed but it has been denied by Amazon.
- This the second big strike in USA after port strike by ILA (International Longshoremen Association) which was from 1st Oct to 3rd Oct 2024.
- This is another news of a new strike in USA – Few workers of Starbucks association also said they are might go on strike due to pay rise issue.
