Haldia Container Terminal reaches milestone – handled 2 lakhs TEU annually for first time in 17 12 2025

Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) has achieved a significant milestone in container operations during the calendar year 2025. As on 10:00 AM of 17.12.2025, HDC has handled

2 lakh TEUs, marking the first-ever instance of crossing this level of container throughput within a calendar year. This achievement has been realized with 15 days still remaining in the year.

The performance surpasses the previous highest calendar year throughput of 1,73,288 TEUs, recorded in 2021 (January–December), and reflects a substantial growth in container traffic.
