From Le Havre to Las Palmas: Inside the ONE Continuity Incident – Update 1

Incidence – On 12th December, ONE Line vessel ONE Continuity was sailing in Pacific Ocean near Canary Island where the vessel encountered severe weather condition and suffered loss of containers and damage.

Impact – The vessel lost around 45 containers and damage to multiple stacks of containers.  After the incidence the vessel diverted to Las Palmas to discharge the damaged containers, assess the damage and secure the vessel before continuing its Voyage.

Present location – The vessel is in West Africa, berthed at Las Palmas De Gran Canaria.

  • Vessel Type – Container Ship

  • Max Capacity -9,362TEU 

  • Journey – The vessel as enroute from Le-Havre France to Singapore.

 

Actions for Shippers – Presently the shippers need to contact the Insurance agent and shipping line for their loss. Also till now there is no confirmation from ONE line for declaration of General Average.
