DGFT issues Corrigendum to notification No. 60/2025-26: RoDTEP rate reduction not applicable to ITC HS chapters 01–24

Date of Notification: 24 February 2026
Subject: Corrigendum on Rationalisation of RoDTEP Rates

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a corrigendum to Notification No. 60/2025-26 dated 23 February 2026 regarding the rationalisation of RoDTEP rates.

This update provides important relief to exporters dealing in products under ITC HS Chapters 01 to 24.

Under Notification No. 60/2025-26 dated 23.02.2026, the government had announced reduced RoDTEP rates along with revised value caps for certain export products.

The move was part of a rationalisation exercise under the RoDTEP Scheme.

However, concerns were raised regarding applicability across various product categories.

What Does the Corrigendum Clarify?

In exercise of powers under:

  • Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992

  • Para 1.02 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023

The Central Government has clarified that:

The reduced RoDTEP rates and value caps notified under Notification No. 60/2025-26 shall NOT apply to export products falling under ITC HS Chapters 01 to 24.

All other provisions of the earlier notification remain unchanged.

Which products are covered under ITC HS chapters 01–24?

ITC HS Chapters 01 to 24 broadly cover:

  • Live animals

  • Meat and edible meat offal

  • Fish and seafood

  • Dairy products

  • Cereals

  • Oilseeds

  • Vegetable products

  • Edible oils

  • Prepared food items

  • Tobacco products

Essentially, this includes agriculture and food-related exports.

Impact for exporters

No reduction in RoDTEP rates for agri & food products

Exporters under Chapters 01–24 will continue to receive RoDTEP benefits at existing rates.

Value caps remain unchanged

The revised caps notified earlier will not impact these categories.

Export competitiveness protected

This clarification ensures that Indian agricultural exports remain globally competitive.

Effect of the Notification (Summary)

  • Not applicable to ITC HS Chapters 01–24

  • All other provisions remain unchanged

This corrigendum has been issued with the approval of the Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry. The  above data has been referred from notification on DGFT website - https://www.dgft.gov.in/CP/?opt=notification .
