USA port strike ends on 3rd Oct

The ILA (International Longshoremen’s Association) and USMX (United Stated Maritime Alliance) had a mutual agreement on their terms and strike ended on 3rd Oct.

The present contract has been extended till 15th Jan 2025 and by then the new contract would be made. There has been a tentative agreement on the salary-hike but the automation is still unresolved.

The was big relief for all stake holder in supply chain. Even a three days closure of ports made a disruption in the supply chain, more than thousands of containers have been dumped at different ports.
